Some people are born with great calves and then there are the rest of us who have to do bodybuilding workout after bodybuilding workout just to get a set of calves that won’t embarrass us when we walk around in shorts…
I don’t know about you but my calves are stubborn…
I’ve done just about every bodybuilding workout in the gym and they just don’t seem to grow.
Part of the problem I was experiencing when training my calves was that I was treating them like any other muscle… which they’re not!
The calves are a high-twitch muscle which means that they should beĀ more responsive to high rep exercises. And I think you’ll get a kick out of what’s been working for me lately… and it’s been working better then any bodybuilding workout I’ve done in the gym.
I’m basically doing calf raises while in the shower… and I’m doing 3-6 sets of 30-50 reps. And I’m not just doing them in the shower… I’m doing calf raises anywhere so long as I remember to train my calves 3-5 times a week. Believe me this is as good as any bodybuilding workout you’ll get in the gym for your calves.
The other day I was getting new tires on my car… BAMN calf raises!
The great thing is that my calves are feeling great and they’re just constantly pumped.
Try this bodybuilding workout on-the-go out. Your calves will thank you for it. And remember the key with your calves isn’t the amount of weight you push; it’s really about the quantity and consistincy.
