Every time you eat your metabolism increases.

Keep that in mind the next time you rationalize to yourself that skipping a meal would probably be better because you’re consuming fewer calories right?

Unfortunately your body doesn’t work that way…

When you deprive your body of food it starts to store the food you eat as fat because your body’s first and foremost objective is to survive. So naturally if your body doesn’t know when it’s going to get fed again (because you don’t maintain consistent eating patterns), it starts to store food for the winter so to speak.

You can literally turn your body into a fat-burning furnace if you’ll just eat consistently throughout the day (5-6 small meals evenly spaced) and give your body a steady stream of energy in the form of calories.
